A Press Release from Drs. Brenda and Erik Slovin…

LOCAL CHIROPRACTOR HONORED
DURING HEART HEALTH MONTH

Norwalk, CT - Dr. Brenda Slovin was honored today for her years of chiropractic service to the Fairfield County community at Temple Israel, in Westport, Connecticut.

Long viewed as just a man’s problem, specialists are now finding that coronary heart disease is the single largest cause of death and disability among American women. But there is good news. Cardiovascular disease is, for the most part, preventable. Today, new national focus on women’s health is yielding beneficial research and knowledge about these diseases in women.

While there are some risk factors that cannot be changed, such as age or menopause, there are many things that can be done to have a healthy heart; and maintaining a healthy lifestyle is the key to prevention. “A regular exercise and fitness regimen is vital to keeping a healthy heart” says Dr. Brenda Slovin. “Other proactive steps towards maintaining good heart health include, making good food choices, eliminating all cigarette as tobacco use, in addition to reducing your alcohol consumption.”

Dr. Slovin is also a member of the Doctors With a Heart Foundation, the largest doctor’s charity in the world. “The innovative, natural heath strategies that we offer in our office are just one way that we give back to our community” said Dr. Brenda Slovin.

Dr. Slovin along with 20 other healthcare providers was honored at this special, Red Dress Event, sponsored by the Westport Chapter of Hadassah. For more information on how Dr. Slovin has been helping the Fairfield County community, please visit: www.DrSlovin.com
